I began seeing through-out the writings of these linguists/missionaries.


The main, deliberate miss-interpreters responsible,

for the current supposed Christian Hmong Old and New Testaments translations are…

From England, along with American Counterparts. 

The Miao Clans about 10 or so, from ancient Mongolia, and China. Today some have migrated from China, mainly to the northern mountain parts of countries of Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. The Miao clans can be easily identify by their own tonal dialects of this sino tibetan language family.

The name of the Miao clan in Laos is referred to as the White Hmongs, distinguished b y the womens dress. In Thailand you have the Green/Blue Mongs (Miao)etc.

 Missionary Bible Translators have to bring into a readable focus-to their readers-of a clear and concise explanations of who the

God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is, as declared within the

Protestant Christian Bible Old and New Testaments.

The explanation is full, and complete, without any reservation, as explained in great details within the Old and New Testaments, of the Protestant Christian Bible.

A New Word introductions aren’t difficult to accomplish. All one has to do is look, and read through our current yearly International Dictionaries, the listings of New Word Introductions, that demonstrate this practice globally.

I myself have created words, and have use word-loan borrowing into another language, which is a common linguistic associations practice. (I’m not a trained Linguist) Additionally, within ALL local groups of peoples-worldwide-current word colloquialism are used, which have been introduced by other language speakers.

Therefore, to contend, or to assume, there is some sort of linguistic blindness, an errant difficulty, for the explaining of the God of the Protestant Christian Bible.


The Current Translations of the Hmong Christian Bible borders on, and surrounded by falsehoods and assumptions, and built on a foundation of


The afore mentioned translators, have translated the Hmong-Whites words for their gods into the Christian White Hmong Bible translations.

Leading the Hmong Whites from Laos-which have resettled in the United States, and in smaller numbers within other countries to believe,- that their White Hmong animists gods, the same as the pigs, chickens, and small red-colored dogs they offer through blood sacrificing to.

They, the White Hmong believe, their gods are the same as the God of the Christian Bible Old and New Testaments.

Believing the only difference is that they didn’t know their gods had a son named Jesus. 


In Laos, Smalley (Bible translator) followed the Catholic linguists interpretations of the Mong lingual. 

Heimbach (Bible translator) followed Smalley’s reasoning’s, which were in error, however, in fairness, Smalley’s work was only of a very small group of the Mong in the south. 

Heimbach’s error was the continuation of the development of an English romanized R.P.A. (Romanized Popular Alphabet) script that was NOT created by Smalley.

The English Romanized Popular Alphabet script, (the R.P.A.), had been used previously, in other tonal and non tonal languages within the region.

Smalley only copied the R.P.A. existing patterns which had been developed decades earlier. (Using English letters to represent other languages word sounds)

HEIMBACH’S English Romanized R.P.A. script, which tried to combined the Miao, (MongNjua of Thailand and the White Hmong dialects  spoken in Laos, as being the same dialects. This assumption was linguistically incorrect, and grammatically indefensible.

These missionary translator had no ideal of the future, as for as the Laotian Hmong, coming to the U.S. as Southeast Asian Refugees. The truth be known, these as well as Christian missionaries of today, have little regards for third world countries governments and their establish national languages.


Heimbach’s English looking Romanized R.P.A. script, had corrupted the correct pronunciation of the common English Alphabet. The first generation of White Hmongs from Laos to use this, now have had sown within in their minds, as well as those that adhered to this incorrect understanding of the English alphabet, and it’s pronunciation system, compounded errors.

Brought confusion, and great difficulty for these first and second generation White Hmong from Laos, upon arriving in the United States, as part of the South-East Asian Refugees, and of to those thereafter. 

Who were taught in part in Laos, and later as refugees in the Thai (Thailand) refugee camps  before coming to the U.S., with some, not only the U.S. directed Hmong, but to all, going to other parts of the world. 

The Mong language, why was this English script used as the first based written language introduction, with an illiterate hill-tribe people of Laos? 

And not introducing the existing and fully published spoken language

used in the schools  of Laos?

Why not use the established- for generations- the Lao language used in the educating  of their youth through the National Established Lao Language?

The national language would help the hill-tribe populations in assimilating in all aspects of the Lao social, economical, and political  aspirations?

This answer is easily recognizable when one understands the Mong and their basic inherited paternalistic animist society structures, of which I write about in other articles.

As my family with former wife and first daughter went to the mission field, the first of five times. Going as a faith based independent Protestant Christian Outreach work in the late 70’s, and when I say “faith based” what is meant is that we did not during the five different family missions trips averaging between 6 to 12 months each, go into churches and ask for money.

If God calls, God will provide, that is my understanding of the scriptures. Christian people worked and trusted God, for the means and ways to fulfill what God has called one to do.

In the late 70’s there was no written Mong language at that time.

The Mong language is a multi-tonal language. 

Heimbach’s one great error was that on his own, he decided to copy the already decades old established R.P.A. English script, when other local dialects and scripts were available, and were in use by the mountain schools in the Laos language.

The National Lao Language was ignored by Heimbach.

And in close approximation, the same arrogance was displayed by these missionaries in Thailand, by their refusal to use the Thai language when involving the MongNjua, that lived in Thailand, and were NOT part of the Laotian White Hmong of Laos.

And later, Heimbach and his adherents continued this debacle of the English script into the Nation of Thailand ignoring and refusing to use the Thai hill-tribe language especially designed for all hill-tribe people of Thailand, as well as the National Language of Thailand.

Heimbach singularly decided to use a completely foreign script to all of Southeast Asia, not only did he introduced the English script falsely, he change every letter meaning to correspond to the Mong Tonal language. 

Heimbach later wrote of his reasoning for this slothful action, “that it was for the ease of the missionary to use their English typewriters.”

 Untold were the many un-necessary hardships that were imposed on the Hmong from Laos, by them trying to unlearn something, when they tried to learn the English language correctly when in Thailand’s refugee camps and later in the US.

The Heimbach copied method of the R.P.A. script, in my opinion, was morally and ethically incorrect to have been used and taught to begin with.

Heimbach’s dictionary uses the English alphabet characters in trying to pronounce the Mong tonal language.

The Miao languages of the ten or so clans have from five to nine different tonal sounding word endings within their tonally, different languages. 

All foreign linguists working within a foreign country generally have the full support and cooperation of their local, that is, the nationals of the country in which they are working governing bodies.

I personally believe and have experience this to be so, at least I know it to be within Southeast Asia. 

The European and American Protestant Organizations come into third world countries generally, with financial incentives for the host countries, such as hospital and schools buildings, training facilities to be built, dentistry, food, clothing distribution etc.

As a foreign Protestant Christian Missionary, I’ve observed first hand over and over the disregard generally that a Protestant Organizations can bring to a third world country’s mid level governing authorities.

In that, the local people are generally less literate and have had little to none  exposure to modern world conveniences.

Or have experiences within business’s or in global commerce generally. 

The European and American dollar can buy so much more within these third world countries. As in our first mission tour to Thailand, the currency exchange rate was 54 Thai dollars(bacht) to 1(one) U.S. dollar, today it’s 34 to 1. (2015)

And, I’m sad to say, that is what many Protestant Organizations bring to a country (money and it’s power) and in return many of the Protestant Organizations, (there are exceptions, though very few)  have much control and sway over things affecting their proselytizing. 

As a Protestant Christian Missionary, I summit  the following handwritten pages that were where done over a 4 to 5 year period, and in many parts of the US. and Southeast Asia. There were times that I was unable to buy a pack of loose-leaf paper, yet, in the end it was completed.

May all the Truly Born Again Christians continue to go forth, and to share to a lost and confused world, the way of Salvation through the Christ Jesus. 

Only by, and through God’s GRACE, Mercies, and God’s Divine and never ending Power, Strength, Love and Favor towards all of humanity.

L.A.M.  (The Light Amidst the Mong)

Note: I had contacted the American Bible Society AT THAT TIME,  with scores of translation errors. They in turn referred me to those in Bangkok Thailand who were working in Bible translations.

I was shocked to say the least, at their indifferent attitude, their statement to me was and I quote “the Holy Spirit will have to straighten all of it out.”

I replied that if missionaries where unable to properly explain WHO the God of the Protestant Christian Bible Old and New Testaments was, then they need not be on the foreign mission field.

Note: the Protestant Christian Bible has been in parts already translated into the Lao and Thai National Languages.

I have used the Thai Protestant Christian Bible New Testament teachings, that are taught by Jesus, the Apostles, and Evangelists regarding the position of Christians towards their local governments. I have, in the past, been approved of long term Christian Missions Plans, of working with the Mong Njua of northern Thailand, by the Governing authority of Northwest Thailand, Mae Hongson Province. My requests for considerations, were based TOTALLY in the THAI SCRIPT FROM THE THAI PROTESTANT CHRISTIAN BIBLE.

This request was submitted in both Thai and English.


Eventually in Bible translation, Heimbach translated the Mong words, for their gods into the Christian White Hmong Bible.

Leading the Hmong Whites of Laos, to believe that their gods are the same as the Protestant Christian New Testament.

Their EXPECTING, and ASSUMING  their CURRENT (2015) false CHRISTIAN BELIEFS, FALSELY believing the only difference is that they didn’t know their gods had a son named Jesus. 

Below are pictures of many Shaman of different cultures, beside the White Hmong of Laos. Now if you could imagine, that within each of these languages if you were to tell these Shamans that in fact, their gods are the real god of the Christian Bible. And all they need to add is that their god had a son named Jesus.

As one can imagine the outright confusion with such erroneous issues, but this false teaching is the base of the supposed White Hmong Christians of Laos.
